Purpose Statement
Riverside Community Church exists to Live, Love and Lead like Christ!

Core Values
We are a Christ-centered church.
All people matter to God.
We are committed to introducing people to Jesus Christ.
Our beliefs are based on the bible.
Prayer, worship and serving are essential to our existence.
We are intentional about “building community” with fellowship and small group opportunities.

Statement of Faith
The key to harmony in the church is to be united in purpose. Recognizing that we come from a variety of backgrounds and experiences, it is only natural for us to have a variety of ideas of how we actually serve Christ in the context of this local church. Listed below are common values - rooted in scripture – that are the essential and enduring principles that unite our efforts. These biblical ideas define who we are:

We believe that there is one true, holy God, eternally existing in three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – each of whom possesses equally all the attributes of diety and the characteristics of personality. (John 1:1-2, 14, John 14:16-20, 26)

The foundation of our faith is the Bible, composed of the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testament. We believe that scripture in its entirety originated with God and is inspired by God and is the authority on all matters of faith and practice. (II Timothy 3:16, II Peter 1:20-21, Hebrews 4:12)

We believe God is the Creator of all things. (Genesis 1:1, Hebrews 11:3)

We believe that man, created by God, willfully sinned and as a result, is lost and without hope apart from Jesus Christ, whose death, burial, and resurrection, opened the way for salvation.(Genesis 1:26-27, Genesis 3:1-8, Romans 3:23)

We believe Jesus Christ is God's only Son and Savior of the world. We believe that He was born with a miraculous conception and virgin birth. He lived a perfect life and voluntarily hung on a cross and died for mans sins. He rose from the dead and ascended into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of the Father. (Matthew 1:18, Luke 1:26-38, John 3:16, I Corinthians 15:3-8, Acts 1:9, Luke 22:69)

We believe that salvation - the forgiveness of sins - comes by God's free grace through the blood of Jesus Christ. It is offered to all persons who believe and profess faith in Jesus Christ. (Matthew 26:28, Acts 4:12, Romans 6:23, Ephesians 2:8-9)

We believe in the Holy Spirit, who encourages, guides, comforts, and transforms in the way of Christ. (John 16:5-15, Acts 1:7-8)

We believe that the Church is the body of Christ. (I Corinthians 12:12,26)

We believe that death seals the eternal destiny of each person. The saved will be assigned eternal life with God; the unsaved will suffer eternal separation from God. (Matthew 25:31-46, Luke 16:19-31, I Thessalonians 4:15-17)

Frequently Asked Questions
What denomination are you?
Riverside Community Church is not part of any denomination. We are an independent and autonomous congregation. What makes us a church is that we’re a body of people committed to being a Christ centered and Bible based Church. Although we exist apart from all denominations and affiliations, we do participate and partner with several other churches in ministry projects and programs.

Is there child care?
Children of all ages are welcome to join you in the sanctuary for Sunday service. But we also have children’s church for ages 4-12 and Oxygen for junior and senior high ages. We also have a nursery provided for both services. For more information on youth groups
